AHHH!! Tom and I are officially the parents of a teenager!!

Today is Katie’s birthday. Who knew 13 years ago she’d be celebrating her birthday in Hong Kong. I made Katie her favorite meal; hamburgers and french fries for dinner and then chocolate cake for dessert. Her sister made her a card and gave her one free song on I-Tunes. Tom and I gave her a journal and pens so she can continue her writing when she’s not on the computer. She gets her big-ticket present when we get home in the fall; trainer for a day at Sea World. We said we’d pay for half if she’d paid for half and she saved her money for the past two years from birthdays and Christmas to be able to participate in the all-day program. I’m sure she’ll want to go the day we get back!
