Tropical Cyclone Sanvu

The start of this year's typhoon season is the latest in Hong Kong history. I guess we've been lucky so far, but our luck's running short. The first storm of the season, named Sanvu, is headed toward the eastern edge Hong Kong. Friends from work were supposed to visit for dinner tonight, but since no one has been through a storm like this before, everyone decided to stay close to home.

Tom's been looking forward to seeing a huge storm. He may get his wish this weekend.

As I write this the rain is starting to fall and I can hear distant thunder. It should be an interesting evening.
