A Market for the Ladies

Today we met up with my friend Darla on Kowloon and visited the Ladies Market. Ok, we were really trying to find the name brand outlet stores, but couldn’t find them! The streets are not well marked and there’s so much going on in the way of signs and advertising that it’s totally sensory overload. The Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger things will have to wait until next time, although there was a Gucci purse at the Ladies Market that I liked, but didn’t buy. Yes, of course it was genuine. I’m sure it wasn’t a knockoff. The vendor probably buys them in bulk. That’s how he can sell them for 30 bucks American. . .

On our way we found the fish and pet markets. It was nice to see fish in tanks that people plan on keeping for pets, and not eating for dinner. We went into a pet store and saw the cutest bunnies you’d ever see. They looked like stuffed animals. Of course Maggie wanted to take them home, but was mean and wouldn't let her.

So during our barging shopping day we bought some beautiful silver and crystal hair clips, nail polish and a new blouse for Maggie. Darla picked up a new blouse too. All were great deals. I spent less than $15 total on everything. Such a deal! (My cousins Karen and Amanda and my co-worker Tracy would LOVE it there).
